This is a rare October 2nd, 1957 playbill from the four-night, Post-Broadway engagement of the KYLE CRICHTON comedy "THE HAPPIEST MILLIONAIRE" at the Playhouse Theatre in Wilmington, Delaware. (The production opened November 20th, 1956 at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City and ran for 271 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred WALTER PIDGEON and featured GEORGE GRIZZARD, GAYE JORDAN, NANCY CUSHMAN, MARGOT STEVENSON, EDWARD HUNT, EVELYN WALL, JOE BISHOP and DON BRITTON ..... CREDITS: Book by KYLE CRICHTON; Sets designed by GEORGE JENKINS; Costumes designed by AUDRE; Produced and Directed by HOWARD ERSKINE and JOSEPH HAYES ..... DETAILS: The 32 page playbill measures 6 1/8" X 9 1/8" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and bios of each of the leading actors but with the exception of the front cover, no cast photos ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a fold to the lower right corner of the cover and creasing along the bottom edge, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
