This is a rare March 24th, 1958 "Playgoer" playbill from the one-week, Post-Broadway engagement of the KYLE CRICHTON comedy "THE HAPPIEST MILLIONAIRE" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The production opened November 20th, 1956 at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City and ran for 271 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred WALTER PIDGEON and featured GEORGE GRIZZARD, GAYE JORDAN, NANCY CUSHMAN, MARGOT STEVENSON, EDWARD HUNT, EVELYN WALL, JOE BISHOP and DON BRITTON ..... DETAILS: The 40 page playbill measures 6" X 9" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, bios of each of the actors and wonderful vintage advertising but with the exception of the front cover, no cast photos ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a light vertical fold and minor edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
