have been inserted, which is calculated to arrest the attention of those into
whose hands it may fall. To collect and collate the matter to be found in
this Directory, as will be seen, has required no little time, imposed a vast
amount of labor, and demanded patient application and care. The task
has been one attended with many obstacles and difficulties.”
