Dan Mahou mask - Ivory Coast

Dimensions of 34 x 19 x 21.5 cms.
Weight about 0.430 kg without packaging.
Materials: Wood, natural pigments.
Presumed seniority: More than 40 years.
Superb Dan mask of the "Mahou" type, coming from the west of the Ivory Coast.
Piece with long curved beak. The eye area is covered with kaolin, enhancing the depth of the gaze. Fine scarifications typical of the Dan ethnic group appear on each side of the face. Traces of erosion on the right side.
