    the Original Japanese production of the ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER musical hit "CATS" at the New Nagoya Musical Theater in Nagoya, Japan. (The Original West End production opened May 11th, 1981
    at the New London Theatre in London
    and closed on May 11th, 2002 after 8949 performances. The Original Broadway production opened October 7th, 1982 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City and ran for 7485 performances. The Japanese production premiered on November 11th, 1983 in Tokyo.) .....
    Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical “CATS” has become the longest running musical in Japanese history, having first been performed by the Shiki (Four Seasons) Theater Company in Tokyo in 1983. Since then, the show has been staged in Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka and Tokyo in specially constructed theaters, returning periodically to each venue. The 25 years and 7000 performances (celebrated in June 2008 in Tokyo) represent a cumulative total of all Japanese performances. Some of the text is in English, but most of it is in Japanese ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a small mark on the logo side, this rare fan is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
